Ukulele and I

My Journey with the ukulele started in 2016, when I accidentally stumbled upon a ‘Cute looking , happy sounding’ instrument on the web.

In no time I ordered one and the Ukulele became a part of my musical journey. A lesser known instrument as it was back then, the Uke sparked curiosity in me and those around me.

Here are the few reasons I picked the ukulele as my accompaniment, and why I would encourage you to learn it 🙂

#1 Travel friendly 🙂

I wanted to travel with an instrument – A beautiful way of layering my holidays with music.
And the Uke has helped me do exactly this. It’s not a difficult one to manage.

#2 Budget friendly!

An instrument , not very expensive, was on my list.
I just wanted to try out the Uke first and see how long would it motivate me to sing more.

And I keep falling in love with the instrument more with each technique I learn, and with each song 🙂

You can consider upgrading to a professional ukulele once you feel comfortable with the longevity of the instrument.

#3 Conversation Starter

If you are an introvert and would like some help with starting conversations, Uke would do that for you 🙂

#4 It’s Easy!

Thats right. Picking up the basics of ukulele playing is very easy.

Learning common chord progressions and singing along never felt so easy.

#5 Improved Focus and Concentration

The dexterity exercises and an urge to learn and improve helped me find back my motivation, focus and concentration.

#6 Music Theory & Rhythm

A very effective instrument to improve your rhythm skills and to start with the music theory concepts.

#7 A Virtuoso Instrument

The ease of playing a ukulele doesn’t take away from the fact that there is so much more potential to grow as a ukulele player.
Just like any other instrument, if we take the uke seriously, sky is the limit.

Don’t believe me? Check these artists out, who are taking the Uke to levels we could never imagine 🙂
